Concerns of fans and dignitaries about the reason why “Pieli”, the first ever Dagbani Seasonal Movie has not been able to continue has been reacted to and answered by the Executive Director and Producer of the movie (Pieli), Mr Leonard Ak, popularly known as OBL.
The creative magician took to his social media handle to drop an explanation in a short video that, all were set for the Episode 2 of the season 1 of this movie when one of the main character, Bajei directed him to see his manger before he can used him.
OBL follow promt and a fee was charged on each scene the actor is to appear on the movie, costing a very huge sum of money in total.
According to OBL, the resources at hand wasn’t enough to pay his management asking price and to pay other characters to be used as well.
“Some investors actually came our way wanting to help us shoot “Pieli”, but they wanted a complete changed of actors, they wanted to bring their own actors and discard our own but we still had to turned them down, clearly showing that we’re not really interested in the money but maintaining the originality of the story” OBL speaks out.
OBL invested the little funds in hand on a new project entitled “Gangdu”, promised to continue Pieli when investors comes in to support.
