The Celebrities Charity Development Foundation, MyNorthToday, and QT Foundation have announced the second edition of the Northern Excellence Awards USA (NExA USA 2025), a prestigious event set to celebrate and honour proud change-makers of Northern Ghanaian origin living in the diaspora—specifically in the United States.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony will take place on 25th August 2025 in New York City, bringing together distinguished personalities, community leaders, and development-focused organizations.

Special guests at this year’s event will include Massachusetts Magazhie and Queen Teefa Npanko Fuseini (Co-Founder, Northern Excellence Awards).

Among the distinguished awardees to be honoured this year are:

Hajia Ramatu Ahmed – Executive Director, Africa Life Center (ALC)

Yani Malzali Naa Prof. Habib Chester

Sofo Khadija – Founder, Khadi4theAged

The initiative is the brainchild of Abdul-Latif Alhassan, Founder of the Northern Excellence Awards and Executive Director of the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation, who emphasized that the upcoming NExA USA is a continuation of a celebrated tradition.
