One of the renowned media personalities in Tamale, Afa Staph has vowed that, the current reigning popular actor of the year, Mr. Ibu is more popular than stars, Fancy Gadam and Maccasio.
As the race for the most influential celebrities continues and as to who is making profit from his fame in the northern entertainment industry, Afa Staph stated on Zaa Radio’s ‘All Inclusive Show’ with Is Hassan Dablee on Thursday night that, actors in general are more influential than all genre of celebrities we have in Northern Ghana.
Giving out examples to back his points, Afa Staph stated that, Mr. Ibu, who was crowned the most popular actor of the year in the just ended ‘Northern Movie Awards’ is more popular and influential than both Fancy Gadam and Maccasio.
“Mr. Ibu is more popular than Fancy Gadam and Maccasio, but he isn’t making anything good out of it apart from using his fame to propose to ladies. He’s popular than Fancy Gadam and Maccasio, but he can’t boost of half of what they have” he said.
According to Afa Staph, for the actors to have been able to gather GH¢300,000 (3 Billion Old Currency) in just two months from their appeal for fund for their sick former president, Mr. Jalil, is an example enough to back his claims.
Afa Staph called on northerners to recall on the similar incident of the sick artists (Mic Teeta of BBH), who was sick and in need of GH¢150,000, yet the whole artists numerous appeals failed to raised up to GH¢10,000.
