As the world is not in normal times and numerous citizens are whipping over catering for their wards and responsibilities, the Northern Ghana Representative at the Ghana Most Beautiful, 2019 (Zahra Sulemana) has distributed dozens of school items to 5 schools in 4 Districts in the Northern Ghana to help ease pressure on parents and Guardians.
Many items including textbooks, exercise books, pens and pencils were presented to,
Zugu DA JHS (Kumbungu District), Tanpion MA Jhs (Nantong district), MA JHS (Gushegu District),
Gupanarigu DA jhs- (Kumbungu District) and
TI Hamadiya jhs (Kunyavila).
In presenting these items, Zahra Sulemana highlighted that, this donation is to help students in deprived northern communities following the hard times the outbreak of Covid-19 has brought to the nation.
According to Zahra, this presentation is the second time she and her team are making this donations under their foundation, “The Northern Project”.
Speaking to the media, Zahra said “Education is the passport to the future and it is essential that we prepare today’s children with our knowledge, ideas, finance and encouragement to secure their future tomorrow. It won’t be right for we those in a little higher places to allow any student to fail because of the lack of necessary school materials”.
Mrs Zahra Sulemana added that, this is not going to end here, “we are hoping to come back again when students go back to school in January, we therefore call for philanthropist tand abled authorities to sponsor us to keep impacting on the lives of people with our Northern Project”.
