The Palace of Kanvili Diema Naa, Imoro Mohammed Habib has issued a firm directive to all artists, event organizers, and stakeholders in the entertainment industry, announcing that no musical shows, concerts, or social gatherings will be permitted within Kanvili without the chief’s prior knowledge and approval.
According to the official press statement dated September 4, 2025, the order extends to all entertainment centers and venues within Kanvili, stretching from Pipers through to King David. The statement emphasized that in line with Dagbon tradition, the authority and blessings of the chief must precede such gatherings to ensure peace, security, cultural dignity, and unity.
