Habash Umar Janda, a popular comic actor and a learned radio personality, together with Mohammed Abdul-Fataw, an equally famous media practitioner, have joined Tamale-based Dagbon FM 102.5mhz a few weeks after quitting Radio Tamale.
The two experienced presenters were both workers for Radio Tamale. A few weeks ago, DJ Zolah announced his end of contract with the station, alleging that he was treated unjustly for an issue he had with a colleague presenter at the same station, Mr. Tell. On a phone call with the general manager of Dagbon FM, Bitter Flesh, he confirmed to HYPE MEDIA GH that his institution (Dagbon Fm) has agreed terms with the two presenters. He also revealed that each will receive GH2,000 per month.
Bitter Flesh also disclosed that DJ Zolah will take over the Drive Time show from 2pm to 5pm, whereas Umar Janda will be hosting a morning show and others. This means that DJ Zolah will be competing with Mr. Tell for the title of Best Drive Time Show and Host.
