Fancy Gadam, an international multiple award winner, has yet again done what he’s known to be doing by putting his people, the Northerners, back into the national award schemes 4 years after they’ve starved for it.
Northern-based artists have missed out on national award schemes and big mentions for the past four years and more, prompting harsh criticism from industry players who accuse them of being too comfortable in their own skins. This has been a source of consternation for northern artists as a whole until today, February 19th, when Fancy Gadam received a nomination at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, giving the north renewed hope. With his famous record “Kom,” the star was nominated for Hip Life Song of the Year, and he’ll compete with Sarkodie, Medikal, and the arts on the art below.
Fancy Gadam has worked so hard under the year review and has remained one of the outstanding artists of the year with numerous hit singles, an EP (One Don EP) and historical concerts across the nation.
