Business executive and events promoter Iddrisu Rafik, popularly known as Grandpa, has extended a helping hand to residents of several communities in the Tamale by supplying pipe-borne water to areas severely affected by the ongoing water crisis.

The intervention comes at a time when many households in communities such as Kakpagyili, Bayanwaya and Bilpela are struggling to access clean and reliable water for their daily needs. With the situation becoming increasingly critical across parts of the metropolis, Rafik stepped in to ease the burden on families who have been forced to travel long distances or spend extra income to secure water.

Residents who benefited from the support expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a major relief amid the persistent shortages. The gesture has not only helped to improve access to potable water but has also demonstrated a strong sense of social responsibility toward the affected communities.

Iddrisu Rafik, who previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Music Awards and currently leads Northern Vision Events as CEO, is widely known for his contributions to the entertainment industry in Northern Ghana. However, this recent humanitarian effort highlights his commitment beyond events and showbiz, extending into community development and social support.

As the water crisis continues to pose challenges within the Tamale Metropolis, such private interventions are proving crucial in supporting residents and complementing broader efforts to restore stable water supply across the region.
