Mr. Ibu Ghana, a popular actor from Northern Ghana has sadly narrated how they got abandoned by the Northern based politicians in their trip to Accra to solicit for funds for their sick colleague, Mr. Jalil.
Mr. Jalil is one of the most popular actors who’s projecting the Northern culture our heritage won for us, he was also the President for the Northern Drama & Filmmakers Association (Nordrafim), the mother group consisting of all actors from the North.
Mr. Jalil unfortunately fall sick and has been on the sick bed for almost two years now. His situation was discovered to be a kidney problem, and he was tasked to bring $45,000, Which amounts to GH¢484,660.00 old Ghanaian currency.
Nordrafim launched a campaign to raised funds for his treatment, which was championed by Mr. Ibu, they visited the King of the Dagbon Kingdom, Ndan Yaa-Naa, who gave them the go ahead to seek for the funds, and donated GH¢10,000 himself.
According to Mr. Ibu on the All Inclusive Show on Zaa Radio 99.3Mhz with Is Hassan Dablee on Thursday night, they wrote official letters with the letter head of Nordrafim and gave it out to all the Northern based MP’s and Ministers including his Excellency the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, but they were told to return back home, they will hear from them, but they never did till date. When pushed to name them, Mr. Ibu said they met Hon. Habib, Hon. Alhassan Tampuli, Dr. Amin Anta, and everyone of them Listen to him speak below.
