The Suguru R/C Junior High School in Walewale has once again added yet another bragging rights and accolade to its long list of honors since its establishment in 1976.
The undefeatable headmaster of the Suguru R/C Junior High School, Mr. Sabirlia Stephen Subindam, led the school to victory in an inter-school quiz competition against seven other junior high schools in the West Mamprusi Municipality.
Thought Bazookas Fellows (TBFs), a non-governmental organization based in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East region, organizes the Inter-School Quiz competition annually.
The event, which was held on March 2, 2023, at the Ghana Education Service conference hall in Walewale marked its fourth year of existence. Ten schools were invited to participate, but only two were not able to make it. The list of schools that were available for the quiz were;
Suguru R/C Junior High School in Walewale, Zaangu Vuga M/A JHS, Walewale Marakaz E/A JHS, Janga Handariya E/A JHS, Diani Presby JHS, Wulugu M/A JHS, Wungu M/A JHS, and Guabulga R/C JHS. Pre-Colonial, Colonial, Post-Colonial, Independence Day, and Current Affairs were the topics of the quiz questions.
At the end of the contest, Suguru R/C Junior High School emerged as Champion with a total score of 30 points, while Guabulga R/C Junior High School came second with 22 points, closely followed by Zaangu Vuga JHS with 21 points (3rd position), the fourth position was taken by the Walewale Marakaz E/A JHS, the fifth position was occupied by three schools; Wungu M/A JHS, Janga Hamdaria E/A JHS, and Diani Presby JHS with 15 points each, the sixth position was occupied by the Wulugu M/A JHS with 12 points.
The award ceremony shall take place on the 6h of March, 2023 at the Walewale Sports Stadium during the Independence Anniversary Parade, where winners and and the other esteemed contestants shall be awarded Certificates, Cash
Prizes, Educational Materials, Partial Scholarships, among others.

Apostle Danicl A. Bajaba in April 2010 with the main aim of improving upon the standards of education in the West Mamprusi Municipal and the North East Region as a whole.
The organization is focused on creating and promoting academic competitions among Students/Pupils and Teachers in our Basic Schools by organizing Quiz Competitions, Reading Competitions, Spelling Competitions, Essay Competitions, and Debates, annually as its main activities to improve upon the standard of education in the area.
Its award ceremony takes place on the 6h of March, every year during the Independence Anniversary Parade, where winners in the various disciplines are awarded Certificates, Cash
Prizes, Educational Materials, Partial Scholarships, and Free Travel Tours.

education in the Municipality and Region at large.
ABOUT THE WINNING SCHOOL, SUGURU R/C JHS, WALEWALE
The Suguru R/C Junior High School was established in 1976 as a middle school and Roman Catholic mission school. It changed to the JSS system in 1987 with the first batch completing the JSS system in 1990. The school has since stood for discipline and hard work as its a hallmark as well as promoting the core values of the Catholic Church. The school has won many trophies in sports and many certificates in the sixth March celebrations. It has also produced many students who have won prizes in the BECE examinations. In 2021 the school took part in a quiz organized by the district and won, the school, later on, represented the district in the region and still won as the best Junior high school in the district, and many more.
