Ghanaian songstress, Francisca Gawugah, widely known in the music scene as Sista Afia has revealed that musicians in Ghana are currently under a lot of pressure.
Speaking in an interview with the lifestyle & celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Sista Afia revealed that music for her has not been that productive for her even though she is still working very hard to project her music craft to the world.
She said that as long as she does not know the song that would project her fame once more, she keeps recording to releasing them until she gains dominance again.
She also lamented that musicians in Ghana are currently under pressure to project their craft to the world market since other African musicians have been able to achieve that. She also that due to this, people always look down on Ghanaian musicians.
Sista Afia also said that Ghanaians are fond of mounting pressure on musicians to break through the global scenes but they feel it is that easy for Ghanaian musicians to do so but they have no idea the hard work that goes into such victories.
She further stated that the fact that Ghanaian musicians have not been able to project their craft on the international level doesn’t mean they should be belittled because they might gain such prominence in the near future.
