In an exclusive interview with Is Hassan Dablee on HYPE TV, Dakpem Dema Naa II disclosed shocking details about why he has vacated his traditional role for years.
According to him, he received a threatening phone call from someone identified only as “Zakaria,” who warned him that he would be “£NDed like they £NDED the late Dakpem Dema Naa Mohammed Hafiz Choggu I.” Although Sherif claimed to know him, Dakpem Dema Naa II stated he has no personal connection with the caller. The ‘Dema Naa’ role, as Dakpem Dema Naa II explained, is not for the faint-hearted. He stressed that the position is “a post for real men, not women,” highlighting the intense rivalry and dangers that come with it.
He believes that the ‘Dema Naa’ title carries more enmity and hostility than even the prestigious Dakpema title itself.
