Organizers of the North East Music Awards (NEMA) have fulfilled their promise to produce a quality music video for Mashud 99, the winner of the ‘Best Rapper of the Year 2024’ award.
NEMA is renowned for its mission to promote the creative arts industry in the North East region to the world, without any profit-making intentions. The 2024 edition of the awards was uniquely organized without a public voting system, relying entirely on the board’s decisions. This approach allowed many talented artists with great potential to finally receive recognition and rewards, as previous voting systems often favored those with the most resources.
Among those who benefited from this new system was Mashud 99. The rapper not only won the ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ category but also received other honors. One of his prizes was a promise of a free music video produced by one of the North’s best video directors, Director Anas. The NEMA organizers kept their word, and the video was recorded and released on May 22, 2024. Check out the teaser below.
