On the ‘On & On’ show on Sagani TV, Northern Ghanaian hip-life legend Big Malik raised concerns about Maccasio’s stage performances, particularly the role of his hype man, Morgan. In a discussion with DJ Krouch, Big Malik advised Maccasio to stop bringing Morgan on stage for the entire duration of his performances, warning that this practice could harm his career in the long run.
Maccasio has consistently performed with Morgan at every show, introducing him on stage and sharing each song’s performance. However, Big Malik believes that this approach detracts from Maccasio’s individual presence. “Morgan can continue being his hype man, but he shouldn’t be on stage throughout the show,” Big Malik said. He urged Maccasio to take inspiration from international stars like DJ Khaled, where the role of a hype man is clear and doesn’t overshadow the main artist.
Big Malik used Maccasio’s recent performance at the Ghana Report concert as an example, calling it “boring” and noting that many in the audience couldn’t tell the difference between Maccasio and Morgan. He stressed that refining his stage presence without relying too heavily on Morgan is essential to maintaining his appeal as a solo artist. Watch him speak below,
