Renowned media icon and grassroots political force, Alhaji Abubakari Naporo, popularly known as DJ Parara has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Northern Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) when nominations are opened.
In a heartfelt message shared via his social media platforms, DJ Parara stated, “As a highly recognized profile personality in my life, a mentor and a Role model, I want to humbly use this opportunity to officially inform you about my intentions… I believe the Great NPP belongs to us, the youth, and it’s our duty to Regroup, Reorganize and Rebuild the party to recapture power come 2028.”
Parara, who currently serves as the Mion Constituency Youth Organizer, is also the CEO of Majority Radio in Tamale. He has long been a key figure in both the entertainment and political landscapes in the Northern Region. He has spearheaded major entertainment events, including historic concerts featuring industry giants such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Davido in Tamale, earning him admiration and trust among the youth.
With decades of commitment to the party and a strong connection to the base, DJ Parara’s campaign is already generating excitement among the grassroots. Many see his ambition as timely and necessary to reignite the youth front of the NPP ahead of the crucial 2028 general elections.
