Renowned Ghanaian rapper and multiple award-winning artist, Maccasio, has expressed profound gratitude to the former Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Karaga, Honourable Mohammed Amin Anta, for his continuous support towards the creative arts and artists in Northern Ghana.

Speaking in an interview on Jata FM in Karaga, a radio station owned by Hon. Anta in his hometown, Maccasio acknowledged the MP’s unwavering commitment to the growth of the entertainment industry in the North. He noted that Hon. Anta has consistently supported his brand over the years and has also shown genuine interest in the welfare and progress of other Northern-based artists.

During the interview, Maccasio made a passionate appeal to the MP for Karaga to consider investing in the construction of a modern entertainment and events centre for the municipality. According to the artist, the existing venues in Karaga are too small to host large-scale music concerts and major entertainment events, limiting opportunities for both artists and the youth.

Maccasio emphasized that entertainment should be viewed as an essential component of development, explaining that concerts and creative events create employment opportunities for young people and help steer them away from negative and unwanted social behaviours.

He stressed that a well-equipped entertainment centre in Karaga would not only boost the local creative economy but also position the town as a destination for major cultural and musical events in the Northern Region.
