A Regional Youth Organizer aspirant of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the northern region, Alhaji Abdul-Mumin Salifu C.O.P, has donated some items towards the final funeral rites of the late former Second Lady and mother of the member of parliament for the Yendi constituency, Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama.
The items included an undisclosed amount of money, 50 cartons of Verna mineral water, five bags of rice, and a bull. He described the late Hajia Ramatu as a “mother for all” who inspired and raised many young men today, And above all, her husband, the late vice president of the republic, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, had equally done a lot for the country and Africa.
The family of the late Hajia expressed excitement, thanked and wished him well as they believed this would reduce the burden on them.
Youth in the Yendi constituency after the donation also expressed appreciation for his kind gesture and lobbied for him to lead the regional youth wing.
