In a surprising revelation, Northern Region’s very own rapper Ataaka has revealed that he invested GHC2000 to vote for his rival Maccasio to win dancehall song of the year in the ongoing Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The rapper, known for his yearly review controversial songs, disclosed this during in a Facebook post earlier today. Ataaka, whose real name is Yakubu Issah, stated that Maccasio is his junior brother and has managed to buy a nomination at the VGMA reason he has also resolved to support him with the little he can.

Ataaka explained that his decision to invest such an amount to vote for his rival was not based on personal gain or malice, but rather on his desire to see the music industry in the Northern Region flourish. He expressed that he was aware of the potential backlash from his fans, but he felt it was a risk worth taking for the greater good.

As industry players, we’d also do our part by voting as many as we can. Personally, I’ve invested two thousand(2000)cedis in picking up votes for you with respect to the category at hand.
