Ghanaian Showbiz analyst and CEO of Sammy Flex Tv and entertainment Samuel Atuobi Baah known professionally as Sammy Flex has remarked that Ghana creatives especially musicians need to build their presence on social media to sell their craft to the world.
During a conversation with creatives in the Upper East Region on how to sell your music online, Sammy Flex expressed his thoughts that various entertainment industry stakeholders especially musicians must emulate Shatta wale by building a fanbase online that will help sell their craft.
“Shatta Wale has always indicated that he doesn’t need the media and it’s true because he has been able to build a following online and he easily gets his stuff to them online than walking or driving through traffic to get his stuff on the traditional”.
“Getting your craft to the traditional media May limit you to your comfort zone but your digital and online presence sells you to the world”.
He further mentioned that to succeed in the Ghanaian entertainment industry is no more about sending your songs on MP3 form to families, friends and love ones but getting them on the digital stores that will give you a wider audience.
He also commented on the lazy attitude of some upcoming artists on using the internet or social media to sell themselves.
“We sit here and for the whole day has not posted anything on social, how will you grow? Develop a habit of constantly engaging your fans on social media and you will not necessarily need the traditional like Shatta Wale”. He added.
