Ghanaian blogger , Ebenezer Akandurugo, in a video available to Hype Media Ghana, has rubbished the nomination of Northern-based music icon, Fancy Gadam, in this year’s VGMA.
According to him, the scheme board is playing smart on the failure of their main contender for music awards (3music awards) and hence decided to include Fancy Gadam to gain the trust of northerners. Speaking on the Bashment era with pressure Slay, the young blogger opened that Fancy Gadam’s “kom” did not gain attention per the category definition of “hiplife song of the year” and should not have been included.
He stated that, though “kom” made waves within the North, that shouldn’t qualify it for a national award nomination because the north is not even half the population of the country. Watch the video below.
