This program was organized by Miss Mahei Barikisu the Co-founder of Light of hope,and also the Safeguarding officer at Renel Ghana Foundation . Miss Mahei Barikisu is a young passionate lady who has keen interest in community development. Her passion led her to contest as an assembly member in Adjei kojo electoral area.
The occasion was honored and supported by Honorable Lawyer James Enu the parliamentary candidate,National democratic congress party for Tema west.
The Honorable member Lawyer James Enu as the guest speaker,encouraged the orphans to never give up no matter the challenges they face in life.They should dream big in order to discover their hidden potentials.He also supported the event by promising to purchase 400 key holders worth 2000gh made by the orphans.
He added that he’ll adapt the orphanage and ensure that their needs are fulfilled whenever they knock on his door. He also commended Miss Mahei Barikisu and her team for such a wonderful job and the opportunity to be at the event to empower the orphans.
Miss Bernice Dodoo Ocron, programs manager at Renel Ghana Foundation was also one of the guest speakers at the event. She encouraged the orphans especially the young ladies to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve greater success.She added, everyone is unique in their own ways so as individuals you need to aim higher
Miss Nancy Acheampomaa Nkrumah the CEO of A.M consult and the regional Naspa Wocom also encouraged the orphans to work hard. She added that, they need to learn a skill and she,as the CEO of A. M consult her doors are always opened to trained them for any skill they desired to learn.
The donations items include, sewing machines, clothings, Shoes, Drinks, Water, Food, Pie and This way coffee.
The orphanage expressed their profound gratitude to Miss Mahei Barikisu and her team and also to the Honorable parliamentary candidate for such a wonderful program.
Miss Mahei Barikisu expressed her gratitude to all sponsors and everyone that supported either in kind or cash to make this project a reality.
