The Movement for Youth Development in collaboration of most prominent Northern based poetry acts has organized a concert aimed at preaching peace during the December 7, General Elections
The said programme dubbed “Gumbiliya Yili Poetry concert for Peace” is set to feature many prominent Northern based Spoken word poetry acts like Lansah Lawrence, Ambitious The Poet, Gifted Tima, Docile Rash, Issmuk The Gigantic, Abdel The Poet, Tunteeya The Poet and many others.
Several other prominent musicians and vibrant performers including Dagbon Saani, Wumbee The Rapper, Fresh Dee and among others would be passing through.
Speaking with Mr. Lansah Lawrence who is the lead organizer of this initiative to Trust News, he indicated this concert is meant to preach peace before, during and after the December 7, General Election.
According to him, the progress of this Great Nation lies on the shoulders of peace “We’ve taken lessons from conflicts in some countries as a result of electoral violence. And there is the need for us not to repeat the same mistakes of those countries in order not to go through what they have experienced, he indicated.
“So we have seen this concert as the best means to preach peace and togetherness. We therefore invite all well meaning citizens, tribes, religious groups, Youth groups, traditional divisions, and most importantly political party members and leaders to be a part of this Great initiative”, he added.
Mr. Lansah further noted that a lot of prominent leaders and guest would be passing though to preach the need for peace. The date of this concert in scheduled to come off in November 21 at The Picorna Open Court Garden. You are entreated to come and support this course!!!
