DJ Carlos, a seasoned presenter, master of ceremonies (MC), and event organizer, has called on media practitioners to prioritize positive reporting on the Northern Region. He made this statement during an interview with HYPE TV at the grand opening of Phenicia Furniture.
In his address, the CEO of Carlos entertainment emphasized that despite Tamale being part of one of the largest regions in Ghana, it remains significantly underrated and underdeveloped when compared to other leading regions in the country. However, recent strides have positioned Tamale as one of the fastest-growing regions in Ghana, a milestone that he believes should not be undermined by negative media coverage.
The veteran presenter urged journalists to shift their focus towards highlighting the positive developments in Tamale and the North, stressing the importance of supporting the region’s progress rather than tarnishing its reputation. “If we are finally seeing growth, it’s a dream we must nurture, not destroy,” he remarked, calling for a more optimistic and constructive approach to local media coverage.
