The Anbariya Sunni Community has publicly called on the President of the Republic of Ghana to remain firm in his stance against the legalization of LGBTQ activities, emphasizing the need to uphold the country’s cultural and religious values.

This appeal was made during an official press conference held at the Anbariya Main Campus on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The event brought together members of the community, religious leaders, and supporters who gathered to express their collective position on the matter.
Addressing the media, representatives of the community stated their strong disapproval of LGBTQ activities, stressing that their position is rooted in deeply held religious beliefs and societal norms. They further urged the government not to succumb to what they described as external pressures or intimidation from international bodies and advocacy groups.

The leadership of the community reaffirmed their support for the President’s current stance, noting that maintaining such a position reflects respect for the moral and cultural framework of Ghanaian society.
The press conference was marked by a strong sense of unity among attendees, with many expressing their commitment to safeguarding values they believe define the nation’s identity.

The Anbariya Sunni Community concluded by encouraging citizens to remain engaged and supportive of policies that align with their shared beliefs, while calling for continued dialogue on issues affecting the country.
