Samuel M. MarQuaye popularly referred to as Bukom Mama is a professional dancer, choreographer, percussionist and a comic actor who has over the years built his reputation in the dance and art industry.
The talented dancer from Bukom, a suburb in Accra-Ghana discovered his talent at a tender age where he tailored his journey along that road.

Born on 16th December 1984, Sammuel M.Marquaye attended
ODARTEY LAMPTEY MEMORIAL JENIOR HIGH SCHOOL where He received his basic education.
He has significantly influenced a number of Pan-African movements through Art and Culture, played major roles in the success of many art groups and collaborated with respectable brands both local and international organizations.
At age thirteen he joined a cultural group called Shidaa Cultural Troupe where he was nurtured into performing art, encouraged to explore emotion and expand imagination through music,dance and drama.
After some few years, he was appointed the Artistic Director for Shidaa Cultural Troupe after which he choreographed and led the team to win competition like Yosakoi, Samsung Chat222 among other prestigious competition across Africa and the world.
He has participated in production company shows such as Ghana Music Awards (Amandzeba 2013), Ghana Meet Naija (E.L 2013), Okyeame Kwame (Versatile Show), CAN 2008 & 2009 among others.

Internationally, Samuel M. Marquaye performed in Libya (Kings & Queens Union Conference, 2007), Dubai Circus Fiesta (Dubai 2015), Water Park Eid Festival etc.
Last year September 3 2022, he was selected among highly respected individuals and brands to welcome the FIFA World Cup trophy tour in Accra.
He has had the privileges of working with some other dance institutions such as Noyam Dance Institutes, Akwaaba Dance Ensemble, Alliance Francais and had a workshop Serge Meir from France.
With honours and achievements, together with Shidaa Cultural Troupe have won numerous honours and awards a major one which was hosted by Rush Energy Drink Awards in 2017.
Sammuel M. Marquaye is a force to reckon with in the art and entertainment industry looking at his pedigree and achievements over the years and has played important roles in shaping the society with his gift, living as an example to many.
