Abdul Karim Alhassan, popularly known as Oxygee and CEO of My Time Group of Companies, owners of My Time Hotel, has made a significant contribution towards the ongoing reconstruction of the historic Gbewaa Palace in Yendi. The successful entrepreneur and native of Tamale donated 50 bags of cement and GH¢5,000 in cash to support the development of the revered cultural landmark.

In a brief interview with HYPE TV, Oxygee expressed that although many prominent individuals, politicians, and traditional leaders have already made donations, he felt a strong need to also contribute this time on behalf of the youth in Dagbon and the entire northern region. He emphasized that his gesture is not only a show of support but also a call to action, especially for young people who may feel discouraged by their limited means.
“I did this for the youth who think what they have is too little to make a difference. Every little bit counts. Let’s all play our part in rebuilding our heritage,” he urged.
Oxygee further pledged to return with even more support once his business experiences further growth. His donation is seen as both timely and inspiring, especially as the project seeks to modernize the Gbewaa Palace while maintaining its deep cultural and historical significance.
