Veteran music producer and appointed Dakpema Development Chief of Tamale, Nana Gazor, has expressed concern over the ongoing feud between Northern Ghana’s two top musicians, Maccasio and Fancy Gadam. With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Nana Gazor has been instrumental in shaping the Northern music scene, having produced about 20 albums for some of the most renowned artists from the region. His new role as a traditional leader brings with it a deeper commitment to fostering unity and development in the entertainment industry.
In a recent conversation with popular blogger Is Hassan Dablee, Nana Gazor addressed the decade-long rivalry between Maccasio and Fancy Gadam. He voiced his disappointment in the continuous tension between the two musicians, who are widely regarded as the biggest talents from the North. “I am not so happy about the beef between my two top musicians currently… I think when I come back from Holland next month I will like to sit them down to cease fire,” Nana Gazor stated, signaling his intention to mediate and end the feud.
As someone who has dedicated much of his life to uplifting Northern Ghanaian music, Nana Gazor’s intervention is seen as a crucial step toward restoring harmony between Maccasio and Fancy Gadam. His commitment to both artists is clear, as he expressed his love for them despite his dissatisfaction with the ongoing conflict. Many in the entertainment industry are hopeful that the Dakpema Development Chief’s efforts will bring an end to this long-standing rivalry and promote unity for the greater good of the region’s music scene.
