Veteran presenter and one of the leading voices in Northern Ghana’s entertainment landscape, DJ Carlos, has made a heartfelt appeal to influential figures in the region to address a long-standing gap in infrastructure. In a social media post that has garnered widespread attention, DJ Carlos emphasized the need for a 5000-capacity ultra-modern auditorium to cater to the growing demands of the entertainment industry in Tamale.

His post specifically called upon political and business leaders, including the President elect, John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and other notable Northerners such as Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Hon. Murtala Mohammed, and industrialist Ibrahim Mahama, among others. He implored them to come together and contribute to this project, which he believes will not only uplift the entertainment industry but also provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills in arts and culture.

DJ Carlos highlighted the availability of vast land around the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium as a viable location for the proposed auditorium. Alternatively, he suggested renovating the old Centre for National Culture in Tamale to meet modern standards. “This will help project Northern entertainment and encourage the younger ones to showcase their talent as far as art and culture are concerned,” he wrote.

The appeal underscores the challenges faced by entertainers in Northern Ghana, who often lack adequate venues to host events that match their ambitions. By providing a world-class facility, DJ Carlos believes the region can not only nurture local talent but also attract national and international events, thereby enhancing its cultural and economic footprint.

With his post going viral, many hope this call to action resonates with the named individuals and organizations, translating this vision into reality for the benefit of the entire region.
