Karela United secured their first win in the Ghana Premier League after beating Bechem United 3-1.
Karela United had to fight back after starting slowly and conceding a beautiful top-corner shot in the 22nd minute through Kelvin Appiah.
The moaning from the crowd was clear, but it did not stop the home side from fighting back as they got an equalizer in the 28th minute through Zaidan Mohammed.
The second half started strongly as Karela fought hard until the 77th minute, when newly signed forward Wisdom Jonas Mayina connected with a well-delivered corner kick to put the hosts ahead.
To make sure it was a complete win, Joseph Bekoe extended Karela’s lead to three with a well-placed free kick into the top-right corner.
The result secured Karela United’s first home victory after they failed to get a win away from home last week.
