Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United FC have confirmed receiving a notification from FIFA regarding a transfer ban served against the club over a dispute involving a former player.
In an official press statement released by management, the Tamale-based side expressed surprise at FIFA’s decision, explaining that they have been actively contesting the claims and engaging with the necessary adjudicatory bodies within world football’s governing body.
The club reassured fans and stakeholders that their legal team is currently in talks with FIFA and the involved parties to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Management added that further updates will be provided when appropriate.
