Ghanaian dancehall crooner, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has claimed that he has made a lot of sacrifices for the stability and growth of the Ghanaian music industry yet he is not praised by his own countrymen.

In a self-recorded video, Shatta Wale lamented that he has been tagged as the bad guy and have been called almost every bad name in the book, hence Ghanaian music players have refused to give him his flowers for his sacrifices.

The SM Empire boss said that he sacrificed his music career to berate the Nigerian music industry and charged them to show Ghanaian musicians the support they have gained from Ghanaians over the years.

He claimed that his sacrificed paved way for Ghanaian musicians to go to Nigeria, mingle with them and also tap into their music market but he is still not appreciated by many people in the country.

Shatta Wale who sounded very agitated about how he was snubbed by the Global Citizen Festival organizers also added that he never disrespected Nigerians when he registered his frustrations about the lack of support but he only wanted to draw their attention to a vital point and it is working for most Ghanaians musicians.

He further intimated that Ghanaian musicians have failed to show appreciation to him for these sacrifices because of pride.
