In a recent episode of the ‘On & On’ Show on Sagani TV, Big Malik, one of the pioneers of hip life in Northern Ghana and a member of KKC, expressed concerns over the quality of lyrics being produced by two of the region’s biggest stars, Fancy Gadam and Maccasio. Speaking to DJ Crouch, Big Malik claimed that both artists are beginning to fall short in terms of lyrical content in their recent songs.

According to Big Malik, while Fancy Gadam has been slightly better in this regard, it’s only because he constantly stays active and engages with people regularly. “Fancy isn’t sleeping; he’s always out mingling with others, and that’s helping him,” Malik noted. He emphasized that musicians often draw inspiration from the people around them, and isolating themselves indoors could negatively impact their creativity.

Big Malik further advised that artists can better understand the challenges and emotions of their fans by being present in social settings like clubs and everyday gatherings. “Music ideas come from the people’s experiences,” he said, stressing that musicians need to be among their fans to gain fresh perspectives and develop rich lyrical content.
