The newly tagged personal DJ of rapper Maccasio, DJ Shatta, has launched a scathing attack on Radio Tamale’s manager, Robicon, over his recent controversial claims about the 69 King. On the Kesmi Brunch Show, DJ Shatta dismissed Robicon’s submissions as nothing but ignorance and hatred, describing him in harsh words as “a bloody pier.”

Robicon, during the ‘Gbewaa Enter10ment Chat Show,’ had said Maccasio is “not bigger than TV3 Mentor” and could still take part in the reality show. But DJ Shatta strongly disagreed, saying such a statement only exposed Robicon’s lack of understanding of the music industry. According to him, Maccasio is already a global artist, and a Grammy-standard musician whose influence goes far beyond the boundaries of Northern Ghana.

He buttressed his defense by pointing to the rapper’s high-profile collaborations with the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and other mainstream acts, arguing that these partnerships alone elevate Maccasio far above talent shows like TV3 Mentor or MTN Hitmaker. “For an artist to be able to feature Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, that is a confirmation he is already a nationwide artist. How can you compare such a musician to Mentor? Robicon’s comments are ignorant,” DJ Shatta fired.

His passionate defense has added more fire to the already heated debate triggered by Robicon’s comments. While Robicon insists Maccasio’s relevance is overhyped in Tamale, DJ Shatta believes the rapper is already in the league of Ghana’s national heavyweights, gradually pushing his brand to international recognition.
