A youth group associated to the ruling New Party, Patriotic Advocates for NPP on Saturday, 21st November embarks on a cleaning up exercise in Nyanahegu, a surburb of Tamale North constituency ahead of the December 7th elections.

In an interview during the clean up exercise, chairman of the group, Osman Mba Abu said the campaign was a demonstration that youths were ready and willing to take care of the environment.

“This is just the beginning, we will embark on a door to door campaign to sell the good works of President Akufo Addo. We will not rest until we unseat the incompetent member of parliament for Tamale North, the organiser of Patriotic Advocates for NPP Mutari Abubakari assures.

The chief and elders of the area has show appreciation to the youth and charge other political parties to engage on helpful exercise and not violence.

“Nyanahegu has never been so clean like we have seen today. The NPP youth have done a wonderful thing. I hope people here will respect their efforts and maintain the high standard of cleanliness that they have set. We will never have cholera and typhoid in Nyanshegu if we follow their example,” an elder of the Nyanshegu palace reveals.

Women’s organiser, Hajia Sharifa, Constituency organiser, Mr Damba and other constituency excutives were present at the exercise.
