Phyto Riker Pharmaceuticals has donated two hospital beds, medical supplies and an undisclosed amount of cash to Tamale West Hospital as part of efforts to support healthcare delivery ahead of the hospital’s upcoming centenary celebration.
The donation included medical supplies such as ORS, Fragil, Rightanol and Sytaphos, alongside the two hospital beds and cash support.
Speaking during the presentation, a representative of Phyto Riker Pharmaceuticals disclosed that the hospital had previously appealed to the company for a hospital bed. However, in response to the request, the company decided to provide two beds, medical supplies and cash to support the facility.
The representative commended the hospital for its dedication to healthcare delivery and encouraged its staff to sustain their hard work and commitment to achieving greater milestones in the next 100 years.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital and the Regional Health Director, a representative of the staff expressed gratitude to Phyto Riker Pharmaceuticals for its generous gesture.
He noted that the hospital had initially anticipated receiving only two beds but was pleasantly surprised by the additional medical supplies and financial support.
He further disclosed that Tamale West Hospital would soon celebrate its 100th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its history of healthcare service.
The chairperson of the centenary committee also expressed appreciation to Phyto Riker Pharmaceuticals on behalf of the committee, acknowledging the company’s contribution and support towards the hospital.
The donation is expected to contribute to the hospital’s efforts to improve healthcare delivery and forms part of the goodwill surrounding its upcoming centenary celebration.
