In a remarkable act of generosity, the United States of America Magaajias (US Northern Queens) have extended their support to 100 new mothers at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, providing them with essential postpartum care items. The donation, which included baby clothing, diapers, toiletries, and other necessities, was made through the group’s representatives, who were sent to deliver the items on behalf of the leadership. The initiative aimed to ease the financial and emotional burden on new mothers, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

The effort was spearheaded by the North American Queens hierarchy, which comprises:
- North America Magazia – Hajia Mami
- North America Gundonaa Magazia – Sirina Issah
- North America Shillin-Naa – Hajia Humu Afonja
In addition, six regional Magazias played a crucial role in financing and coordinating the initiative:
- New York Magazia – Hajia Maria
- Massachusetts Magazia – Hajia Teefa Npanko Fuseini
- New Jersey Magazia – Hajia Ayisha Napari
- Connecticut Magazia – Ibrahim Fatima
- Atlanta Magazia – Hajia Rahamatu
- Pennsylvania Magazia – Ayisha Yussif Guruma
Each Magazia delegated two representatives to oversee the donation, ensuring that the items were properly distributed and directly handed over to the mothers in need. The representatives also engaged with the media on behalf of the US Northern Queens, highlighting the motivation behind the donation and their commitment to continuously supporting maternal and child healthcare in Northern Ghana.

Speaking to the press, some representatives emphasized that this was just the beginning of a long-term initiative, and the group intends to make such donations a frequent occurrence. They also encouraged other well-meaning individuals and organizations to join hands in supporting new mothers and vulnerable families.
The Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) of the Tamale Teaching Hospital expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the hospital, commending the US Northern Queens for their generosity. He noted that such interventions significantly contribute to the well-being of mothers and newborns and urged other philanthropic groups to take inspiration from this act and offer similar support.

Many of the beneficiary mothers, visibly moved by the gesture, showered heartfelt words of gratitude and prayers upon the donors. Some recounted their struggles in affording basic baby needs and described the donation as a lifesaver that came at the perfect time.
This noble act by the US Northern Queens is a testament to their unwavering commitment to community service and the welfare of women and children in Northern Ghana. With their promise to do more in the near future, the group has set an inspiring example of diaspora-driven philanthropy aimed at making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
