Sherif Abdul-Majeed Maccasio, a rapper, has finally admitted that Fancy Gadam, a close rival, is the biggest musician to ever emerge from Northern Ghana.
For over a decade, the two have had what has been dubbed “the north’s biggest music rivalry.”
Their fans have fought over who is the most popular artist, and they have fought over who is the most popular artist in interviews and songs.
Maccasio revealed in a radio interview with Mr Tell on Radio Tamale on Saturday, June 19th, that if personal interests are put aside with rivalry, Fancy Gadam should be called the biggest singer from the north.
He went on to say that the north has yet to produce an artist who has done and achieved what Fancy Gadam has achieved in music.
