In an interview with IsRahim on the ‘XPosure’ with Kawastone on Zaa TV Ghana, the talented artist revealed a surprising aspect of his past. Before his rise to fame as a musician, IsRahim was a skilled casual painter, known for his incredible work, which is still in use today.
IsRahim shared that he used to paint animations, draw portraits, and create signboards for professionals, large companies, and NGOs. Remarkably, he learned these skills effortlessly and without any formal support.
He recounted a pivotal moment in his journey. One day, while returning home from running errands, he noticed an artist sketching on a signboard. Captivated by the artist’s technique, IsRahim spent the entire day watching him work. Inspired, he went home and attempted the same, discovering a natural talent for painting. He continued to hone his skills, eventually becoming a professional in the field.
This early experience in painting paved the way for IsRahim’s artistic development, ultimately leading him to become one of Tamale’s most talented musicians.
