Karela United FC have completed the signing of forward Wisdom Jonas Manyina from Real Tamale United, the club announced this morning.
Manyina joins the Tamale based side ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season. He has been one of the most exciting attacking players in the Access Bank Division One League over the past two seasons.
The 22 year old was a key player for Real Tamale United, popularly known as RTU, during their push for promotion to the Premier League. In the 2024/25 season, he scored 15 league goals as RTU reached the promotion playoff final. His form also earned him two NASCO Player of the Match awards. In January, he was named the Access Bank Division One League Player of the Month, after scoring four goals in five matches.
Manyina had attracted interest from other clubs before completing his move to Karela United. He was also part of a group of RTU players who travelled to Germany for trials earlier this year.
Karela United will be hoping his pace, goals and creativity can boost their attack for the upcoming season. The club described him as a player who brings speed, goals and creativity to the team.
Manyina becomes the latest addition to the Karela United squad as they continue preparations for the new campaign.
