In a surprising turn of events, celebrated security analyst and youth advocate, Adib Saani, has broken his silence on widespread calls for him to contest in the upcoming Tamale Central by-election following the demise of the late MP, Dr. Murtala Mohammed. Many youth groups, women’s associations, and grassroots supporters had strongly rallied behind him, seeing him as a fresh force capable of driving development and progress in the constituency.

However, Adib Saani has officially announced that he will not be contesting at this time. In a heartfelt statement, he explained that his current professional commitments require his full attention, and since Parliament demands total dedication, it would be unfair to split his focus. While this decision comes as a disappointment to many of his supporters, he reassured them of his unwavering commitment to the people of Tamale Central, promising to continue supporting youth empowerment, security initiatives, and developmental efforts in the constituency.

He further thanked the various groups and individuals who believed in him, stressing that his time to serve in political office will surely come, but not under the current circumstances. “Together, our future is bright,” he emphasized, leaving supporters hopeful but also longing for the leadership role they had expected him to take in this by-election.
