For the first time, Nigerian dancehall singer, Patoranking, has spoken about the accident that happened during his concert in Tamale with Fancy Gadam.
People will recall that Fancy Gadam recorded one of the biggest songs and collaborations ever from the North with Patoranking (Customer) a few years ago, which resulted in a major show with Patoranking at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The show was called off due to an accident that occurred and claimed lives during the float when the fans came out strongly in their numbers to welcome Fancy Gadam and Patoranking.
In reaction to the incident for the first time since 2018, Patoranking said he was totally broken down when he was told on the night of the show that some lives had been claimed from the fans that came to welcome them. He noted that it was the very first time something of such an incident occurred to him in his life, so he asked Fancy Gadam to postpone it.
Patoranking recalled a different date was fixed and cancelled again, but this time for a misunderstanding between Fancy Gadam and the authorities of the venue.
He also revealed that he had never received the kind of love he received from the people of Tamale and its environs during this show with Fancy Gadam.
” I have never seen any kind of love like that before. I am not trying to brag, but if I have to do a show in Ghana, I will have to perform about 10 big collaborations before performing my own songs,” he stated.
