Muslim For Jannah, a charity organization made up of brilliant Muslim ladies with a vision and common mission of putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged people in society, has today, the 8th of February, donated a set of school uniforms to Gbulahagu AME Primary School.
Mrs. Suraiya Abdallah, a representative from the organization who stood on behalf of Hamdia Tamimu, founder of Muslim For Jannah and the whole of the team, said, “Muslim For Jannah is less than a year old in the system, and this will be adding to the many we have donated already to orphanage homes and prison yards. We contribute from the little we have in our accounts to always make this possible, and it’s our prayer that every pesewa we spend on this cause represents a seed that has been sown in the hereafter, for it’s said and believed that “the hand that gives never lacks”.

When asked how they surveyed to find out that Gbulahagu Institution lacked uniforms, she said, since they are into donations, they’re always on the hunt for the needy. So, they came across a post on the socials by Gifted Tima, a teacher in the school, who was seeking support for Gbulahagu, so they began planning on how they could be of help.

Madam Donlebo Georgina, Head Mistress of the School, said this is going to go a long way to encouraging students to attend school frequently as absenteeism has always been one of their major challenges, and one of the causes of that is the lack of uniform for some of the wards. She added that parents in Gbulahagu, who depend completely on farming, find it hard to cater for their wards, talkless of getting them proper uniforms, so this will as well blossom the hearts of parents.

Gifted Tima, the initiator of the donation, appeals to NGO’s, cooperative bodies and other organizations to come to the aid of the school as they still face many challenges like learning materials, ict laps, etc.

Mr. Mbielayim, Assistant Head of the School, sent a warm gratitude to Muslim For Jannah and thanked them for the support given. Meanwhile, Abdul Firdaus, a Class 2 student, also sought Allah’s blessings on Muslims for Jannah and wept to other organizations to follow their lead.
