In a recent interview on Bryt Tv, renowned musician Atongo Zimba has fired back at claims that he is the small boy of fellow artist King Ayisoba in the kologo fraternity.

The controversy began when King Ayisoba, in an interview with the same media outlet, referred to Atongo Zimba as his “small boy,” implying that there is no body playing the instrument who has mastered and traveled with it compared to him.

However, Atongo Zimba has strongly refuted these claims, stating that he is an accomplished musician in his own right and has no need to be anyone’s “small boy.”

“I have been making music for many years, and I started traveling all over the world performing when Ayisoba was still selling Khebab at Tema,” Atongo Zimba stated. “I have released numerous albums and have collaborated with many other artists. I am not anyone’s small boy and the records as there to show.”

Atongo went on to express his disappointment with Ayisoba’s comments, saying that they were unnecessary and that what matters is the work and not talks.

“King Ayisoba and I are colleagues in the music industry though I played kologo before, and I have always respected him and I will be happy to see him wining more as a junior in the game,” Zimba said. “But to say he’s the only one protecting Ghana through the kologo music is unacceptable. We should be supporting each other and promoting Ghanaian music, not tearing each other down.”

The controversy has sparked a debate among fans of the two musicians, with many taking to social media to express their opinions. Some have defended Ayisoba, arguing that he is simply the best. Others have sided with Zimba, saying that Ayisoba’s comments were not necessary.
