Entertainment pundit Afa Staph has stirred discussion in the creative industry after claiming that veteran actors Aborimaham, Mr. Ibu and others are more popular than Northern Ghana’s top music stars, Fancy Gadam and Maccasio.

Speaking on the All Inclusive Show on Zaa Radio, Afa Staph said findings from his personal research indicate that actors enjoy wider recognition across different regions compared to the musicians. According to him, the reach of movie actors cuts across language, location and culture, making them more visible on a broader scale.

He explained that while Fancy Gadam and Maccasio are household names within Ghana, especially in urban and entertainment-centered areas, actors like Aborimaham and Mr. Ibu have penetrated deeper into rural and international spaces through movies and television.

Afa Staph stressed that the comparison was not meant to downplay the achievements of the musicians, but to highlight the power of film and visual storytelling in expanding fame beyond borders.
